If was a few years ago but very memorable as it was my wife's first experience on a night train and the final leg of our bike touring holiday around Germany. Taking the bicycles on the train was not a problem as there was a carriage specifically for bikes, you just have to remember to book them on in advance! The journey should have taken about 8hrs which is actually a little bit short for a sleeper in my opinion, ideally I think you need 10 hrs so that you have enough time for a decent sleep. The two birth cabin we had was clean and comfortable and we were provided with breakfast in the morning. If you’re planning on taking sleepers in the summer around Europe its worth booking in advance as they can fill up quickly on popular routes.
