Route notes

My wife was 7 months pregnant so we could not fly (not that we would have anyway!) We drove down to Holyhead in Wales and caught the Ferry to Ireland. The drive took us about 6hrs although we stopped in the North of England to break the journey up. Scenery though Scottish Borders and North Wales was fantastic as was the Irish coast that we saw from the Ferry. The ferry (one-way) took 3hrs 15mins and cost about £130 for the two of us and the car. There is a faster ferry which takes 2hrs.
